Discussion about
Could anyone tell me how long it will take to get a DOB permit for construction (very little work, but plumbing is being moved, and closets are being added)? It would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone I know these days uses an expediter. For a gut renovation I paid $2,200.

Interesting. I would think that your contractor would do all of that for you & they should hire an expeditor (new to me!) if needed.

Typical fees for expediting a simple job are $1000-2000. It depends if the architect and trades are going to self-certify or not, and how may different plans need to be filed (mechanical, plumbing, etc.)
