Does anyone have information about construction dates for the Fordham buildings on 62nd street?

I saw a notice that the 62nd Street access will close on 12/5 - presumably permanently. That removes a small impediment to the construction project start.

Construction is over bearing and so noisy. Beware huge projects going on also 55 story apartment complex going in on 62nd, besides all the Fordham buildings. Noise is here to stay for years and years. 2011 disappointed Tenant.

This bldg is already surrounded directly by Fordham (South, East & North) and low-income housing (West). Now, it looks like the views/light of the north-, north-west and north-east facing units will be completely blocked by the two hirises under construction, to be built only a few feet away...

Would this destroy the value of the entire bldg., or do you think the units that won't lose their views would retain their values? Some of the units look interesting enough, and I just wanted to get a sense of people's opinions on what the situation will do to the value of the entire bldg.

This is going down. The construction plan is for 25 years. The smart money is selling while they can.

Overall value of this building is and will continue to come down. So even if a small percentage of units are spared the view, given the construction noise, history of drug raids in Amsterdam House (low income housing) next door, and overall lower valuation of the building itself....all of the units should come at 25%- 30% discount to condos like Beaumont that have significantly better location, lower monthly, and hardly ever any supply / listing for sale.

Anyone active in athletics would find the Alfred an excellent choice to live. This is a triathlete and marathoners dream location. It has the longest (75') and most beautifully renovated pools in NYC. A sauna, steam and whirlpool. A well appointed and spacious gym and racquetball court for cross-training. A bike room. The location is in close proximity to Central Park and the Hudson River Greenway.
