Discussion about Newswalk Phase 3 at 535 Dean Street in Prospect Heights
Anybody know what's going on with all the LEAKS/FLOODING going on in the Newswalk? Thinking about buying in the building but concerned about future assessments and increasing common charges.

A ton of repairs have been made, though I don't know the details. I think the building is physically in much better shape than it what 4 years ago.

All the repairs performed in 2009-2010 are completed, scaffolding is down, Certificate of Occupancy is restored, elevators pass inspection and there is a brand new 15,000 square foot common roof deck with a children's play area and lots of amenities. Prices are rising rapidly on resales as of early 2014.
