there is a vacant lot right next to the Javits Center. You will have to build a platform over the train tracks. All yours if you have $1 Billion.

Your best bet is to search Massey Knakal & other commercial broker listings.

I know someone has found small lots in Brooklyn over the last 4 years through commercial brokers, and proceeded to build on them.
