Discussion about
How do residents like living in this bldg? I haven't seen any open houses at this purely rental bldg. Any insight (both positive & negative) would be great. Thanks!

I loved living in this building. The staff is wonderful. But the rents are very high. They raised my rent again this year and so I just moved out last week after living there 5 years. They wouldn't negotiate. Four of the 8 apts on my floor moved out over the course of 2 months . They don't care. They seem to get a lot of foreigners and I think they have a lot of corporate accounts because it seems there are many short term rentals. So, they keep raising the rent to rates much higher than comparable apts in the area.

Re: Apt23 - sorry to hear that, sounds pretty obnoxious that they wouldn't negotiate especially living there for 5 yrs. Was the bldg itself loud (neighbors, kids running up and down the halls)? Thank you for the info. Best of luck

Yes there are a lot of young kids -- toddlers. Our very nice neighbors had 2. But the doors are pretty solid and our apt was configured so that we couldn't hear them crying from either bedroom but they came in loud and clear from our living room. The real problem I had was that you couldn't use the broiler in the oven - even if you closed the kitchen door and opened the windows, the smoke detector would always go off. And the appliances were not so great for the expensive rent. But the bathrooms are big --even though there is only one sink-- and the bedroom was spacious.
