InvestNYC, it depends what you're looking for, but in general, the northside around the Bedford stop is most desirable (and therefore priciest). Don't know what your timeline is, but looks like there's a nice amount of rental inventory getting ready (see the corner of North 12th and Berry - that's a lot of units).

There's a huge new rental building coming online soon right on the water - we were very interested but couldn't wait. We're on Roebling and N 8th - very convenient to subway (L train at Bedford stop, as noted.) Our goal was to be near the subway but not right at the epicenter BETWEEN the subway and the loud bars. This seems to be working. My advice: walk the neighborhood at midnight on Saturday night and as well as in the daytime - machine-shop and truck-idling noise can also be a factor.

Oops. It's true. Trinityparent was my old identity when I was old. Now that I've sold my UWS classic 7 and moved to Wburg, I'm young again. Look for me in New York Magazine.

Who's a jerk? Not columbia county - he's obviously a gentleman of discrimination and taste. I will be in a NYM story about Boomers moving to Wburg next week. Hope my picture turned out ok.

We are opening the leasing office at 184 Kent on the waterfront in January and then at 34 Berry St near McCarren Park. Check out http://rosenyc.com/New-Development/184-Kent.aspx or http://rosenyc.com/New-Development/34-Berry.aspx

You're going to have to define "crappy" -- that word could apply to the entire neighborhood.

InvestNYC, I wouldn't call it a crappy block (you've got both the L and G at your doorstep, plus Dumont and the great-if-somewhat-overpriced Sunac for groceries), but you will have to deal with a fair amount of noise on Union Ave. It tends to get a lot of traffic, including trucks (it's 2-way and right next to the BQE). Aesthetically, it's by no means a tree-lined, brownstoney street, as it's in full flux given all the construction around here. Given the BQE's proximity, I'm not sure it'll ever be "pretty" but if that's not a concern, you could do much worse. I do think the RoseNYC buildings will be quite nice, with 184 Kent probably going at quite the premium.

InvestNYC, define what you mean by "best". That means very different things for familes vs. grannies vs. singles vs. hipsters vs. whatever you prefer.

What are you looking for in a neighborhood.

Fayek Pricing is not released yet. It is likely that we will be offering incentives such as a month's free rent. If you sign up for the preview list, you will be the first to know when the pricing is released.
