Discussion about
If you have a family, should your "personal" reference letters mention everyone? One of my referrers is an old friend from years back. But not sure if he should include my SO, our kid, etc. I mean, is he supposed to say "little Mary is so cute and she started walking 2 months before the national average!"? Lol. But then again, if his letter only mentions me, ignoring my family, would that look weird? Thanks
It's fine to mention something short and on point such as '
John and Mary lived in our coop building and were thoughtful and kind neighbors. There son, Christopher, is a lovely and very well behaved 5-year-old young man.
Short, sweet, and to point is the ticket herre - nothing too personal or smarmy. You're simply relating to the board that you're all responsible and well behaved, and would be a terrific addition to any building.
