Best times of year to rent?

I know there is a buying season where prices are high the spring. This seems to be true to rent in the summer. Do rentals rates tend to fall by September versus the summer?

Not really. In the fall, you have returning college students and new hires coming into the market. Best bet might be in the winter.

Rental rates in Manhattan do not fall, period.
