http://www.nydailynews.com/real_estate/2009/12/11/2009-12-11_fast__furious_these_local_condos_are_flying_off_the_shelves.html When reading this article, do you believe the story line or feel that this is a pr ploy?
This is not a journalistic endeavor. It is like those articles about a local restaurant - you know, one that advertises in the paper. "Great service" "Beautiful presentations" What reporter gives contacts with numbers? If these units have "flown", let then show us the "empty nests" in a few months.
Has anyone actually seen this when they were looking at condos, or is this all hype?
you can spin this info either way. the reality is that when developers/sellers adjust prices to the market they move units. i think the target audience is not only potential buyers but the pr depts of the brokerage firms are trying to send a message to other developers to get religion and lower prices.

A great example would be the Forte in DoBr! As soon as the bank slashed prices they had almost 70% units in contract!
There are properties that have already reached a level playing field. Not all the available listings for sale in new york are priced right!
But the sellers who are really determined to sell and are realistic to todays market will sell quickly, unlike let us say a half a year ago when nothing sold!
what is with your overuse of the !?
real estate is exciting!
New Jersey has a gold coast?
for a very brief period of time there was some "journalistic" reticence in writing such obvious advertising crap.
advertising crap!!!
Actually AR, its more like PR crap. Advertising is (supposed to be at least) better creative writing.
true, singularly uninspired. but maybe that's because all the talent's been laid off. the shine is off the spin.
The jobs are there--if you have five years experience in "social media" (has it been around five years) which btw is a nice way of saying if you are 27 and don't cost much. Question, does regular contribution to a real estate discussion where we veer off in every and any possible direction qualify as "social media?"
"New Jersey has a gold coast?"
Yes, see below:
