Long Island has a fake City
whose residents inspire but pity.
It's one part of queens
where my taste does not lean,
but younger kids find it less gritty.
Long Island City is chic.
That is, if your head's sprung a leak.
It stares at Manhattan
while developers fatten.
Its residents pay just to peak.

dewyagi: Don't worry about the rest of the U.S.A. There's a website for a Telluride newspaper, where the locals tear each other apart. It makes this look tame (which it really is). Just some good fun, to release some steam...
Schenectady is still part of New York too, and nobody's ever been there.
