More general douchebaggary vagaries. I NEVER tried to slide AIG from one side of the ledger to the other. I failed to make the distinction between the banks and AIG (even if you make the argument that banks got it back-door through AIG). I made the distinction for YOU because I wanted to make it clear for the mentally challenged what would have been obvious to most.

The sad thing the bailouts would not have been necessary if we did bankruptcy.
We got socialism wrong. In a socialist country they nationalize the companies with money. We did the opposite. How dumb is that?

rangersfan, I said it already... you can repeat yourself all you want, but that won't make AIG an auto bailout!

i love it!

sorry, when the AIG money goes to goldman, you have to be lying to say its not part of the financials bucket.

And, yes, goldman SHOULD be paying for the aig bailout. To throw out this red herring of paying for the auto bailout, thats either dumb or deceitful.

Or did AIG suddenly start making pickup trucks, rangers fan....

> just a side note on Union corruption, NYC doesn't hold a candle to Chicago

Thats why we got the whole state on it here... that a city has it, thats NOTHING. Our entire state is in the pockets of the union....

My point from the very beginning was that TARP would effectively be repaid by the financials (banks) and and at a profit for the gvmt and taxpayers. NOW, see if you can stay with me on this, and I was immediatley attacked by you and your buttbuddy samadams saying 120 billion of TARP was "lost forever" and I was wrong to suggest it ultimately will not be recouped. You also added the brilliant statement that TARP was never intended to be repaid but lets leave that crazy comment aside for the moment. You also derided the fact that the unpaid TARP (or projected losses) was going to end up as a loss for all. Stay with me here, I also said that Obamie was ginning up a budget which would include a provision that would recoup TARP that would be borne by the financials (sans AIG) and that is EXACTLY what happened. AND that this levy/tax/whatever would pay for the losses that were generated by the autos/AIG - again, exactly what happened. Now do you want me also have this done in sign language for you too? Geez.

Dude, you can repeat yourself all you want, and change your story 100x, buy you were wrong, you lost, repeated that 10x, game over.

Half the folks on this thread are laughing at you. Get a clue already.

I love it! After you just tried to say you DIDN'T try to slide aig out... here you are doing it again!

Oh my lord, dude, really, you lost, game over.

It was funny for a while, now its just sad.
