Dear Fellow SE Enthusiasts, I hope this finds you all well. I'm sure most of you have either heard or read about the news of the deadly earthquake that hit Haiti a few weeks back. God bless you to those who already sent donations through different charitable organizations for the Haitian relief. I can only imagine what devastation they are going through at this moment. Its times like these we realize how blessed we really are. My good friend, who currently owns a professional photography studio based in New York City, has set up a raffle drawing called "Photography for a Cause" for the benefit of the Haitian earthquake victims. They will be raffling off a complimentary photography session to those who choose to donate to the Haiti MercyCorps relief fund. PHOTOGRAPHY FOR A CAUSE – Engagement, Family Portrait, Fashion, Maternity, Event… essentially anything we can do with the camera. **For fellow Agents/Brokers, it's also a chance to not overspend on OLR or Gotham, and to get your new exclusive listing professionally shot for free. Please see the below for details of how join and donate. Donations will go directly to MercyCorps Haitian relief fund. You may go directly to http://www.mercycorps.org/fundraising/studiosaldana to donate and enter into the raffle. http://www.mercycorps.org/fundraising/studiosaldana To Be Awarded (Transferable to friends and family): Up to 6 hours of Photography 5 – 8×10″ photographs 1 – 16×20″ Gallery Wrap Canvas DVD – Full-Resolution Photographs Rules: For every $10 donated, 1 entry will be allotted. Increase your chances to win with a higher donation. $10 – 1 entry $20 – 2 entries $50 – 5 entries … We understand that not everyone needs professional photography so we are allowing the winner to transfer their photography session to anyone they see fit. Photography date will be set at the discretion of Studio Saldana. Every little bit helps and we are doing what we can to make a difference. Initially, we were inquiring about assisting physically on the ground in Haiti but all flights are now regulated by the military. Getting to and from Port-Au-Prince presents a challenge. Let’s do what we can here to help the people of Haiti. The winner will be announced when we reach our goal. Let’s make this happen! To Donate: http://www.mercycorps.org/fundraising/studiosaldana Thank you all for your support! [less]

How do we know the money will go to the earthquake victims, and not to the corrupt government thugs?
Excellent idea takkyamaguchi. What a great way for all streeteasy enthusiasts (both bloggers and brokers) to get together and contribute during this time of need. Wish you all the best.
This is interesting.
Hey how about we all take a brk from se and donate $10 se fee for the next 6 months, cause NYC re will continue to fall and you don't need to see insider info to get that. So the 'pro' can kick in more.
