Discussion about The St. Mark at 115 East 9th Street in East Village
I asked about 15 people who live there and they pretty much all said it was quite good ie no noise unless something crazy was going on. The walls are very thick concrete. But one thing you should know about this building: across 9th street is an an old Cooper Union building which I believe is going to be torn down soon - so watch out if you are looking at something south facing.
ps I asked SE about this building... search for "St Mark" thread...
Thanks! I did ask the agents about the buildings across the st as they seemed prime for teardown but they claimed no knowledge regarding their fate. I searched the old threads on the building but couldnt find anything...i will continue to look
There was also a recent rumor (Curbed or Lost NY blog) that they were building a boutique hotel on SE corner 10th and Lafayette. Check it out as this would also affect St Mark's views.
Will do.
What happened? Do tell...
What about AF, please.....
So what did you mean by AF holds the building hostage? What did she say that makes you think she's not trustworthy?
By the way, I think a person who posts a libelous comment about a person and then refuses to explain themselves is a person whose comments can't be trusted.
Although AF can be aggressive, to be kind, I'm not convinced that she is dishonest. If untrustworthy comes from not revealing all she knows, then this is possible. But don't worry, her hold on the building has slipped and there are many other brokers who represent apartment sales.
I thought she and her husband were incredibly nice and very helpful.
