Chandler police say they have arrested a man on allegations that he gutted his foreclosed home.

Police say 35-year-old Daniel I. Clark was booked on suspicion of defrauding a secured creditor and criminal damage. Police say a neighbor of Clark's stopped an officer on patrol and reported that Clark was "deconstructing" his house.

Property records show the home was scheduled to be auctioned off Friday by the trustee. Clark told investigators he was replacing the appliances and fixtures with less expensive ones.

Police say two air conditioners, a water softener, water heater, interior doors, toilets, sinks, carpet, and tile were among the items taken.
