Does anyone have any information on the contractor for this building? Or when the foundation is supposed to go in? They say it will be ready in July 2008 but that seems unlikely.

I considered the Urban Green when they first began marketing it. I'm purchasing in a building that is scheduled to start closing March 2009. They just laid down the foundation and are well underway. If they haven't started yet, there is no way it will be ready for July 2008.

Anyone have any recent updates on Urban Green in Williamsburg? After endless delays, it actually looks like there might be an end in sight. Any word on projected closings? Spring 09? Does anyone on this board actually have a unit under contract? I have been watching this development for some time along with 80 Metropolitan, 125 North 10th, NV, Rialto, and more recently, Steelworks to see if the developers might start lower asking prices once they get close to temporary CO. Comparatively, any opinions on how Urban Green stacks up in terms of exterior design, finishes, location, pricing, etc.?

SDNYC, I might be wrong, but I think the building is actually sold out - kind of amazing since it's still under construction, but they had started pre-sales quite a while ago and seem to have benefitted from doing so. Remains to be seen how many people get out of their contracts though. I know 80 Met has lowered prices a bit on some units, as did NV. I'd imagine 125 N 10th did too, but don't know for a fact. Steelworks is too new for price chops just yet. My building has a handful of units left, and they haven't cut prices at all, though I know they are negotiating.
