In a building with doorman, elevator operators on upper west side west end ave in the mid 70s what is a fair market price for an 800 square foot apartment that needs some cosmetic sprucing up maintenance is 800 a month.1 bedroom 1 bath

Look on propertyshark.com for comps. Also look at the samuel miller reports for neighborhood comps. Property shark will show the historic comps even for your building and also pay the $10 and check comps on this website.

Sorry but otherwise, it is a joke to ask people's opinion. They dont know block/building etc.

That should be priced at around $950 to $1,000 per square foot, or $760K-$800K all-in as of June 2007. Do a search on StreetEasy and you can get actual recorded sales in 2007 on that exact building or the block. The maintenance is quite reasonable at $1 per square foot per month, espeically since you have a doorman. Make sure it is really 800 square feet -- measure it yourself. Do not believe what the broker tells you.

I would price it in the low 900's given the fact that it needs some work. Buyers market for 1 bedroom and studios right now.
