Discussion about 450 West End Avenue
My wife and I looked at this place last week and loved it. Not wild about the price though. I think it is overpriced whereas my wife feels it is in line with what friends of ours recently paid for 3 bdr in the UWS. Would love to hear some thoughts from people on the listing.

It is overpriced but if you love it and have the money go for it.

"You loved it"? Wow! The current style of that unit is hard on the eyes and not normally what you would find....so if you like it I say buy it.

From a first glance, it looks like it is overpriced by about 4 million dollars. For that much money, I would expect something much nicer looking. It looks like you need to gut it.

It is a beautiful apartment - those gorgeous floors, that lovely entry gallery with the wrought iron rail & the step down living room; it's very elegant & old world. (Obviously not to everybody's taste) I'm not crazy about the price, either. There is no powder room near the entrance & it is merely a decorative fireplace but there are some glories there & perhaps these large old apartments go for such a premium. Do your homework & then you'll know what to offer. Good luck!

that place is WAYYY over priced this listing at the cornwall a very beautiful building http://www.brownharrisstevens.com/detail.aspx?id=711469 much nice and about half a mil cheaper you could get a townhouse in the west 80's and a even bigger place at harsen house condo if you wanted too..like #3 said a sucker is born everyday.

Its funny that they took the pic of that eyesore of an apartment off the listing. The seller should pay YOU to live in that shithole.
