credit at closing?

Discussion about
if the seller says you will be credited at closing for a concession, does that mean they give you a check? does anyone know how that works?

marco - we had a credit at closing for some repairs. We also had more stuff involved like pro-rated CC and taxes, and renting for a week or so. Basically whoever owed money to the other party, which was a small sum in the grand scheme, ended up writing a personal check to the other party at closing
