In order to assure that a proposed consumer regulation does not conflict with the safe and sound operation or stability of the banking system this proposal would require consultation and create an appeals process for the prudential regulator.

I think Dodd is on Crack, to suggest that consumer regulation could make the banking system unsound and unsafe. The current crisis argues in the opposite direction. It's clear the intent is to create an ineffectual regulator.

Remember, dodd is the one who took a payoff from nationwide, then screamed about the AIG bonuses... and turns out HE AUTHORIZED THEM.

Corrupt.
