Need Real Estate Attorney Suggestion

I know that this is probably not the best way to look for attorneys but can you recommend a reliable lawyer for the closing of a new condo development? I just called one and he is charging $3000 and I remember reading that most of them go for $1500. I also hear that new development condos are pretty easy to close LEGALLY so I think a $1500 lawyer would do just fine. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I saw an article in the NYT about a real estate lawyer and he sounded really good but I have not used him...His name is Steven Wagner of Wagner Davis.

$1500 is the going rate.

We paid $1800 a year ago and that was a few hundred above the norm. Our guy did a sucky job too, so do not assume paying a little more helps at all.

Yes, you can try Law Offices of John Chang on Broadway. he is very reasonable and has done real estate deals for many years.
