Seeing LIC apt makes man commit suicide (really)

But this suicide wasn't caused by the massive amounts of pollution in LIC, or the coming complete, absolute, total and permanent collapse of the LIC condo market ... the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of the GOP, who keep the US in the untenable position of being the only first-world industrialized society that does not have universal healthcare. That destroys families, entrepreneurs, etc. etc. etc.

Yes, and this weekend's weather made it quite delightful to do so, on my high-floor balcony with a majestic view, me and my laptop, my laptop and I, a cocktail for me, but the laptop stays dry.

alan, it is just eating away at you that LIC condo prices have stabilized and that people are still buying there, and that new businesses are coming in to the area. You can keep hating, but you should try to keep it to yourself so you don't make everyone sick of you.

LIC can keep repeating himself, as he's done for 2-3 years, but that doesn't make it true... in fact, he's been shown to be wrong pretty much every time he's claimed this.

Me too. The graphics really helped. If it weren't for the graphics, I would have thought the guy would have gone up into the sky and flown to Florida after he jumped, not down toward the ground.

The guy is an idiot. He should have insured himself for millions of dollars, wear a sandwich board that says "I Hate (the N word)" and walked around a black neighborhood carrying lots of money in his hands. (Life insurance does not cover suicide). This way his mother would have money for her medical bills.

What happened was that he lost his job so he lost his "tax benefit" and could no longer afford the overpriced apartment he had bought. Hence - suicide.
