Apthorp hush money?

Wow, as soon as the story about the Health Dept. investigating the Apthorp (as well as the AG and Fire Dept.) for multiple violations broke, the Apthorp flooded all the real estate-related web sites (like this one) with ad money for the first time in months. That's as much of an admission of guilt as anything and a blatant attempt to keep this disgraceful unsafe and illegally run and operated "renovation" out of the press. The question is, will it work? Will mondo bucks tossed at the media be able to whitewash this block long, block wide, 102 year old disaster zone?
