Less Expensive doors?

I'm renovating an apartment and I remember Kylewest ( or possibly another poster?) had posted something about an alternative to solid wood doors which are very expensive, but i cannot find the thread. Any help with this is much appreciated..

MDF doors are certainly cheaper than actual hardwood doors. What exactly are you looking for? A flat slab door? Raised panels? More info please.

30yrs, thanks for the response- at the moment, i have flat slab doors, would like to replace them with Raised Panels.

are your doors all "stock" sizes? (i.e. 6'8" tall, 3" increments 27", 30", 33" wide?)
