Too late to get a broker?

I am looking to buy an apartment in Brooklyn. I have already seen a couple places that I am interested in, without being represented by a broker, and I want to research the apartments further. (I am a first-time buyer so I am a bit nervous about doing all the research on my own.) Could I hypothetically get a broker at this point to represent me on those properties that I found on my own? I've already been in some email contact with the sellers's brokers. Thanks in advance.

if the property you arre interested in is a co-op, you would be helping yourself to get a buyers broker who has closed deals in that co-op. he/she will have knowledge as to what the board is looking for and will help you to prepare a strong board package. for a condo, you can probably go it alone.

Just don't get a broker from Prudential Douglas Elliman.
They are idiots, all they know is open and close the door for you.
They should be called " DOORMAN/DOORWOMAN ".

Thanks all. So, just to clarify for myself, it's ok business-wise/ethically/whatever, to now bring a broker in on co-ops I looked at on my own at first?

I saw a unit I liked at an OH and placed an offer on it. Since I didn't have a broker representing me, the listing agent told me he would represent both sides. A few days later I withdrew my offer as the seller deemed it too low. Now the seller has lowered the asking price and I would like to present him with another offer.
My question is, can I have another buyer broker representing me with the new offer or do I have to go with the listing agent now?

Has the sellers broker called you to tell you the price was lowered or did you find out on your own? If you found out on your own or through another broker it could be argued that the sellers broker "abandoned" you and now you want your own representation good luck!
