building at 2586 Broadway

This building (220 west 98th, NY NY 10025)is by far the WORST building I have ever lived in New York City and in the entire world. This building (220 west 98th, NY NY 10025)is by far the WORST building I have ever lived in New York City and in the entire world. The building has the WORST management and superintendent named Adiel Marte; it is owned by a slumlord called "Elliot Small"; and doormen steal your packages. Let me display the things I had to deal with while living here; 1) Water: they are always doing some pipe work (at least that's what they say), so there is constantly no water during the day. When there is, you get brown water (with some feces looking stuff floating around). Often, they don't even bother warning you about pipe work in advance. So you end up not having water all day- which also means no toilet working. 2) Superintendent: This guy Adiel is the worst and most NASTY human being you will ever see. He doesn't work after 5-6pm or on weekends even if there is a lifethreatening emergency in units. He simply doens't give a damn. So sometimes, there is a massive plumbing emergency, broken toilet, leak, wall collapse or whatever you name it, you sometimes have to deal with the situation for days and weeks and even months. 3) The rent is NOT stablized. So once you get in, they will raise your rent significantly more the next year around. 4) Laundry room: It is the most disgusting laundry room you will see. Machines often take your money (BY THE WAY, THEY STILL USE LAUNDRY MACHINE WITH COINS!!!)and do not work. 5) Security: THERE IS NO CAMERA ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING. Can you believe this? And they leave your UPS packages, FEDEX and all your mails out in the lobby for everyone to pick up. So if you have any important mail, it is more likely that you will lose them. Who knows, maybe doormen steal those packages. I lost plenty of packages while living there. 6) Elevators: Constantly broken; the most outdated and stupid elevators I have ever seen. 7) There is a community among the residents in the building who are against this management company (expension group)and looking for legal actions. I think it is some kinda petty mafia operated building with ex-con workers. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. [less]
