I went to this open house recently and was blown away by this development!! The finihes are top quality and the views from the upper units of Midtown are astounding. There are two units with 25 foot exposed brick barrel ceilings that are totally awesome. The pricing seems in line with other new topline units in Manhattan. I understand these units are selling well also. Are there any people out there who have also seen this development?

I saw Loft 124 -- nice development. Extremely expensive pricing for Central Harlem with asking prices north of $900 psf, while the market averages closer to $650 psf. Granted, Loft 124 is the nicest or among the nicest developments anywhere in Harlem. The other problem is that that stretch of West 124th Street between Lenox Ave (6th) and Powell Blvd (7th) is run-down, dismal, depressing and largely impoverished. 124th serves as the back loading dock entrance for the retail stores on 125th.

I think Loft124 is amazing....Having said that I also agree with #2 about the issues related to it's location. You might want to check out 50 West 127th street which is another impressive and unique structure...the Rhapsody on the corner of 127th street and 5th avenue is another interesting development but overpriced in my view. Good luck whatever your decision.
