Can anyone weigh in on the building? Location, layouts, quality of amenities, etc?

Location sucks. Layouts are basic. Quality is average manhattan. Sold like hotcakes a few years ago when it first opened. That seemed to be the "it" area and the several new devps that went up i think in 2006 sold out in no time for high prices....The excitment of the area quickly died.. The area is a no mans land. Not really Soho. Not really Tribeca. Sorta on the fringe. Views blocked by 330 Spring St bldg.

As per the comment above, it feels like a no mans land. What is unfortunate is that there are many empty lots, which would make the neighborhood so much more pleasant if they became restaurants and stores. Whoever owns these lots would rather leave them empty than accept a reasonable price for renting them. It doesnt help that The Renwick went bankrupt and now stands empty too. Basically the entire neighborhood is ugly and looks dilapidated. Adding insult to injury, for reasons not understood, real estate taxes are extortionate. I'm talking in excess of $30 per year at 100%. And what for? I have no idea. So we live in a cheap-looking no-mans land, full of ugliness yet we dont even benefit by getting a cheap deal.
