Any first hand recommendations for a cleaning service that does a true top-to-bottom post renovation clean up? Thanks.
Hey all. Me again. Just thought I'd bring this back to the top since there were no responses. Need to pick a cleaning firm soon, but only interested in ones that will do a kick ass job. C'mon folks, any ideas? Thanks.
A good idea is to ask your friends, neighbors or doorman/super for a recommendation. I'm not comfortable posting my cleaning lady's contact info on the web. I'm sure many readers agree.
I would ask the doorman...ALSO, how bad did the contractor leave your apartment. He should have hired a cleaning service.
Call TriState Cleaning service. Good job ask for stanley
Thanks all. I was actually looking for a personal recommendation for a SERVICE like http://www.maidforyounewyork.com/postconstruction.html, and not the phone number for someone's cleaning lady. I realize that I can do a Google search, but just thought I'd try and get personal recs. Also, regarding post #4, this is the first time I've ever heard of a contractor hiring the cleaning service, but this is also the first time I've ever renovated an apartment so maybe this is standard procedure?
sounds like the first time you're cleaning ....
WE MOVE AND HAUL NYC removes, disposes of, cleans out, legally dumps and recycles almost anything...

Little Elves. They cost a bomb but we had them do a deep clean 2x in 2 different apartments. They send a big team, bring all the cleaning materials (vacuums too).
my contractor used a cleaning lady recommended by the building and the dimwit used an sos scouring pad and destroyed my bathroom mirror. Use your own cleaning lady -- but have your contractor use a commercial vacuum. The fine dust will destroy the motors of your vacuum.
