Hi,

I've been thinking about buying here. Can anybody provide feedback regarding this place?

Thanks

Dull, but a decent value. Rear-facing apartments are quite dark and dreary, block is very ugly and noisy, but centrally located. We looked at several units there, but didn't see anything worth pulling the trigger on. One thing to watch out for is the condition of the central AC units - they are the kind that tends to leak when they get old, and they're very expensive to replace.

anon - front facing apartments get lots of sun. The central location is good for transit and neighborhoods but bad for its main street location.

The A/C units are not central air but through wall units. Since this is a co-op the maintenance is by the building. This is the benefit of a co-op, maintenance fees pay for regular maintenance.

Renovated apartments can by very nice. There is good value at the price in this building.

I liked this building, and loved the location. But the monthly maint seemed a bit excessive to make it a "good value". http://wp.me/pkLe1-dM

Just signed a contract here. We're closing on a 1 bedroom ~725 sq ft. It's a fully renovated kitchen, redone bath, and overall very nice. All I need to do is refinish the floors.

I love the building and the location. The gym being part of the building is a huge thing for me. Also, the building is well maintained and maintenance includes all utilities except cable. The coop owns the retail space under the building and the parking lot as well. Both good cash generators. If you're high enough and facing the back it will reduce the noise from the street and still get good light.

I don't think I got an earth shattering deal. But I think I got a good price and since I really like everything about it; it just works for me. I really can't imagine people complaining about this place. By bordering great neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights on one side and Downtown BK on the other, it's right on the edge of further development and renovation, in my opinion. BK is building up nicely in small pockets all over the place, and those pockets seem to be headed towards overlapping to eventually gentrify large areas.

Looking at an apartment in 2018 and maintenance compared to apartment size seems a little high. Is there an immediate reason, like a recent major improvement, etc.? Thanks!

High as compared to what? Other similarly sized and priced coops in the area? Like which ones?

Can anyone share any recent experience with co-op board approval in this building? Thanks!

It would be nice if the listing agents called their listings what they really are: Studios, not 1 BRs. And at least two of the current listings are not legal 1BRs. (Inaccurate: 16B, 15F, 3H. Debatable: 16C, 15F.)
