Me too...A flat rate mover is what I need. I'm doing the opposite...I am coming to New York

Look into Move East http://www.moveeast.com/. they specialize in california to new york and visa versa. I used them but my stuff is still in storage so i can't vouch for the condition, but the guys who picked up my stuff seemed good and careful. and they communicate with you well through the process. Like i said, my stuff has not been delivered yet, so, the proof will come as to how good they are.
