http://news.medill.northwestern.edu/chicago/news.aspx?id=166746 Dale Rosenthal, a former strategist for Long Term Capital Management, the hedge fund known for its epic collapse in 1998, and a proprietary trader for Morgan Stanley, has seen his share of financial complexities. But when shown a seven-page list of derivatives positions held by the Illinois Teachers Retirement System as of March 31, obtained by Medill News Service through a Freedom of Information Act request, the University of Illinois-Chicago assistant professor of finance expressed disbelief. “If you were to have faxed me this balance sheet and asked me to guess who it belonged to, I would have guessed, Citadel, Magnetar or even a proprietary trading desk at a bank,” Rosenthal said. The fact that the sheet doesn’t belong to one of those high-flying hedge funds, but to the $33.72 billion pension fund that serves more than 355,000 full-time, part-time and substitute public school teachers and administrators working outside the city of Chicago, is perplexing to those interviewed for this story. Hey apt23 Lets here your ideas about fixing the 19.6 trillion dollar debt in 2015. Oh I know, higher taxes on the wealthy. There must be shared sacrifice. Everyone must pay their fair share.
Ok Julia. Let's keep your eye on the ball. FAA? FDA?
By the way once you're the leader of the regime and you repeal the constitution in order to repeal income taxes, are you going to default on the debt?
apt24.. I know what your thinking. .".What is the acceptable answer that will be politically correct. I hope my colleagues and friends won't be mad at me if i say something they don't like. It is hard not following the crowd."
Julia has yet to provide an example of her utopian society.
Because, of course, just like pure communism, it can't exist.
Julia..as the leader of then regime you're going to have to put forth your ideas, not criticize others.
Some outstanding questions.
FAA?
FDA?
Default on the debt?
Julia?
Julia?
Leadership is tough.
Criticizing is much easier.
Perhaps it is time to resign as leader of the regime and consider being hostess of cable show?
AR, utopian societies do not exist but what's happening cannot go on for much longer. Do you concede that a) current level of federal spending is unsustainable and/or b) raising taxes will not solve it?
what out Julia... loose..... you might get pregnant...
SE10023. No one who receives more than they pay into the system would ever agree to such a thing.
10023, how provocative. what's your answer?
my answer is that yes I concede both of those points. Do you?
Where is apt23? No answers to the 19.6 trillion? It is really boring having no opinions.
But...the what?
Julia?
FAA?
FDA.
National debt?
19.6 in 2015 Thank you Washington!
Julia...think leadership. Not cable tv.

Julia?
FAA?

National debt?
riversider, no they will not. So the credible people will be elected instead of clowns of this administration or previous and they will make them agree. Or system will break.
Credible people like Julia and rs?
FLMAO... is that 19.6 trillion in US$?
Thatz like an old lady getting on the telephone to complain she doesn't like telephones....
Would you prefer rubles? Hell the RUSSIANS won't take a ruble for their debt, China would rather have UST ... Japan goes outta its way to own Rock Ctr....
The french and germans are about to go back to baguettes and weiners... WTF r u worried about?
One last thing, if you borrow at 4% but societal benefit is 6%... iz that a good trade?
I Quit!
Julia, is that you, girl? I admire your persistence.
From Manchurian Candidate to Potemkin President,
I can see November from my porch!!
Well se10023. There's a reason why Gold is over $1200 and we can't build storage for all the physical demand for Gold fast enough. Gold is going up because of lack of faith in the U.S. to curb spending.
Thanks dwell.. But I am going on strike, going underground. Last time to say goodbye to a friend.
Excellent news.
No doubt another name change
Perhaps finallygone?
It must have become too difficult to type more slogans, what with the government's boot on her throat.
