Discussion about
Just closed on a co-op (as buyer's rep) in the East Village with a conforming loan. Sunny Hong of Bank of America -- who buyer met through this board -- provided financing, and did everything he said he'd do, and did it efficiently and quickly. Thank you Sunny! ali r. DG Neary Realty

Sunny does indeed Rock. My wife and I closed on a condo last year with Sunny's help. We had been looking for 3 years prior to finally closing. We had many false starts througout this time and he was extremely patient with us and provided us with sound advice. He was not only efficient as Ali stated, but very knowledgable and helped us as first time buyers truly understand the whole process of purchasing a home. Thanks Sunny!

I emailed Sunny for jumbo rates about 6 months ago and got some very competitive rates from him - I used them to get a better deal refi-ing.

Thank you all your for your kind words. I can't say I can always offer the lowest rate or the lowest closing costs. But I do take pride in my customer service and being available to my clients at all hours. Fortunately, this is a job I enjoy doing and that always helps. sunny.hong@bankofamerica.com

BTW, when I was researching jumbo rates, there were banks with lower rates but lower jumbo limits and/or didn't do deals in NYC. I never called TD Bank (aka Commerce) but heard they had good rates. Doing direct deduct for mtge payments also saved me 0.125%.

I echo these comments. I recently closed and obtained my financing through Sunny. He is a class act all the way. Remarkably responsive and as a first time home buyer he was very helpful in explaining the process. The closing costs were exactly as he said they would be; in fact when rates dipped back he proactively lowered my points a bit. He gave me a timetable and delivered ahead of schedule. I highly recommmend working with Sunny. (And no - I am not his wife, brother, mother, sister etc.)

Wow - I wish I would have gone with Sunny. I'm still waiting and waiting and waiting for Wells Fargo.
