SE does not have private messaging capabilities at this time. I don't know if they plan to add it in the future.

helen: Who do you want to send a message to, on SE?

Start a discussion, with "I want to get _____ 's (fill in the blank) e-mail."
Then post comment to them, with a short request.

Truth: you made me laff. I have an absurdly large music collection so yeah, I sure as shootin' done heered of them The Police!
