Discussion about
i'm a real estate noob and wanted to know what are ALL the closing costs associated with buying a condo (i.e. lawyer fees, broker commission, taxes, etc.). just looking to get an exact idea of how much i need on top of down payment at closing. let's say the condo costs $400k. any help would be greatly appreciated. much thanks!
I asked a similar question:

This may help a little. I used this as a guide and it was pretty close, some fees are fill in what you know from offering plan. But mortgage costs, taxes, etc seem to calculate fine.

Here's another great guide to buying a coop or condo in NYC/Manhattan which lists all the possible closing costs for either a coop or a condo:

thanks all. this may be a dumb question but does the seller always pay the 6% broker commission?
usually yes
Around $400k assuming 80% financed, would wager it's around $17k
