Discussion about 65 Cooper Square in East Village
wow, is this from your experience of living there? these listings have been on the market for a while, maybe the sound played a part? how bad is the traffic, only in peak hour, or all the time?
thnx
I've lived at 65 Cooper Sq. for two years. During that time I've seen one mouse, but I know that some other units did have more issues. I think a large factor in this is one's own cleanliness and whether the individual condos have been adequately maintained/renovated by their owners.
As for the trucks, 3rd avenue is a major truck thoroughfare for the city. When some heavy truck speed by and hit one of the numerous potholes on 3rd, it may cause noticable vibrations in parts of the building. In the unit I live in I might notice a tiny tremor once a week, but in other units one may notice slightly stronger tremors a few times a day. For the most part, it's pretty easy to get used to.
Yozhik or Kathrynyu, would you say that in your experience the units on higher floors would be less prone to shaking and/or tremors? I'm guessing that the closer one is to the ground floor the worse the shaking gets?
I can see how poor foundation would contribute to the mouse issues. If possible can you elaborate on 'foundation is getting worse' a bit?
Much appreciated
I've been to a friends place over there. It's very noisy on the back side(other side of 3rd ave).
