alanhart about 1 hour ago ignore this person report abuse spinnaker1, I don't like California export produce -- the strawberries taste like cottonballs, the peaches like baseballs. But I also don't see the need for subsidies on exotic out-of-season produce. Strawberries used to be a treat, and any outside of June a luxury item. We can live with a return to that. We can live with a return to spending a much higher percentage of our budget on food, and much less on transportation and entertainment.
