Discussion about
I keep hearing that Trump is going to change the 110h street and turn it into Columbus Circus. True? Or good PR and Marketing?

You are right KKV. By 2010, Mr. Trump is going to invest $25 billion on 110th street and rename the area called Trump Circus.

Trump and all you other gentrifiers can only bring the neighborhood down and ruin its character. Go scoot back below 96th Street where you belong.

It's a persisent unfounded rumor that's been around for 15-20 years way before Harlem's current revitalization was underway.

It's mostly driven by the absurdity of having a large gas station on a large lot directly across the street from Central Park, plus the major greening up of what used to be a sensible intersection and has now been turned into a dangerous and pedestrian-unfriendly traffic circle.

But regarding all of this, as the kids used to say in the 1990s, "whatever!!!"

i recently also heard that Trump or someon e is planning to seond BIG BUCKs up in Harlem as its the next hot spot, because its still in Manhattan and not a boro and people need to moce someplace with all the new comers to the City. Retail space in harlem is alot less for now too. I see alot of new places and wahtever is new in harlem is top notch. Its alos easy when leaving the City too, I am at the Bridge in no time. I heard Bed Bath and Beyond is moving to 125th Street too. Also now Nordstroms is insterested which is a great move on their part, it willl bring people up to Harlme they will get the tax credit up there and also new yorkers won't have to trave to Jersey or Westchester to find a Nordstroms, so watch out Macy's I guess.

How did you learn of the possibility of a Nordstroms in Harlem....I've not heard anything about that until now...interesting. And I guess Macy's passed on Harlem?

How many people can afford Nordstroms in Harlem. The reason why people moved to Harlem is because it's more affordable to live, eat, shop, etc.
