I'm sorry, I don't know how to link the listing to this post. The listing doesn't have the apartment number, but I remember it was on the 11th and 12th floors. It might have been listed last year as 11FG12G or something like that.
This is a big duplex and I like the layout. We were interested in it at one time but became uninterested because of the maintenance fee.
As I recall, it went on the market at the beginning of 2009 for $2MM and went into contract quickly. The sale languished and then the apartment was back on the market again. It has to be just about a year ago that it was sold for $2MM. Do you think prices have appreciated that much on East End Avenue in one year?

Going by the floorplans, they did a new kitchen and some rearranging, but nothing like $1M worth.

Sold finally for 2.8 million to a family that lives in the building-overpriced-they overpaid but I guess they like the building. Interesting how price decrease and date contract signed are so close. I suspect they accepted offer and then listed a decrease in price so as to NOT APPEAR THEY ACCEPTED A BID 13% BELOW ASKING.
If you look around this appears to be a common practice now a days.
