Tomorrow we're receiving a sectional and chair with ottoman. We live in an elevator building. Would appreciate advice on how much to tip.
$10 per delivery guy.
Make sure you have $10 bills to hand out individually...
No collective tip...makes for trouble.
Thanks, falco. Is $10 each enough, though?
You already paid for delivery fee, right? But, if you wanted to pay an additional voluntary fee - that's your prerogative.
Delivery is free (or included in price).
I tip about $20 and since there are usually two guys, that's $10 each. If something about the delivery merits it, then I'd go up accordingly, but that would be rare.
And thanks to you, kyle.
Give them 20 bucks each. Depending of course on how much you paid for the furniture ........... if it's really low end stuff and you're strapped for cash, 10 bucks each is fine. But otherwise twenty each is nice .......
I am sad to say I have never tipped a furniture delivery guy...I always tip moving men but I don't know why i never tipped furniture guys..thanks for the post I'll remember next time.
i stopped tipping when the stores started to charge a fortune
and the guys dump the furniture and run.. last group would not take it out of the box
