Discussion about
Very unsatisfied with the work of brokers in listing an apartment. There are two brokers who have the listing from the same office/firm. One appears to be good but the other one is a dud and maybe getting in the way. Concerned that the good broker may not have enough incentive to do a good job because of the reduced commission. Any advice from someone who has encountered this issue greatly appreciated.
Generally, when 2 brokers from a firm split a listing there's a reason -- and it often has to do with vacation or work schedules. Team members tend to check in with each other, because if the deal doesn't move forward, nobody gets paid.
That said, usually one agent or the other will end up being the primary communicator with the client. When that happens, the one who calls gets tagged as the "good" broker even though they may both be doing the same amount of work.
So the question isn't really whether you think one of them is doing less work (that's between them) -- it's whether you think they're doing well as a team. Are they holding open houses, sending out marketing pieces about the apartment, and bringing in customers by appointment?
If they're not, you need to have a talk ASAP, because either their work or your pricing is off.

That Cohen website is so hot. Each time you mouse over a link, it gives you a little bing or beep. So TECHNO, I just kept mousing over until I was exhausted. And then I found you could zoom in on his pic. Ooh, those eyes are so penetrating, he looks at me like he doesn't care but I know he does. And that Alfani suit, I can just imagine well polished square toe shoes by Kenneth Cole and sleek Movado watch. Ooh, I have to stop.

truthskr: I don't know why Cohen would think that "Contact us today" thing (along with starting a "Discussion") would cause me or any other potential seller to rush to their fancy website.
ali r. posts informative comments giving good advice. That's why she is contacted.
Cohen tries to ride her coat-tails.
