Discussion about
anyone negotiate with glenwood recently and get a free month? they're saying that they don't do that anymore, but i'm wondering if they may be starting again now that we're past the busy summer/september season.

I wouldn't count on it. Several recent articles have discussed the super-low vacancy rate (1.1%) and how incentives have disappeared more or less across the board.

I think it depends on the building. At Lincoln Center they have many corporate contracts so they probably wouldn't extend anything -- in fact I was original tenant there and they raised the rent so high that every original tenant left by last year. However, on the upper east side building they were extending rent roll backs last year and I think they might respond to an offer there.

They won't give just one person in a bldg that. They have bldg-wide policies.

recently moved out of the Somerset on 72nd. Nice building. Good staff. TONS OF EMPTY APARTMENTS!!!!
You should have lots of negotiating power in this building. I already see on craigslist ads that they've jacked up the prices on new rentals compared with what we recent former tenents were paying (even after the free months' rent was taken away). They can stay greedy and let their apartments sit open, or they can come back down to reality if they want to get people in there.
