Discussion about
Anyone else read the NY Post this morning? New web site residentialnyc.com, supposed to be like an MLS listing service, but Corcoran and Elliman have not signed on. According to the article, Corcoran and Elliman represent 50% of lsitings in NYC. Without them, whats the point !
I find it hilarious, that after a decade of deciding that consumers shouldn't have access to listings or other real estate information, and only after others like streeteasy provide it in spite of them, that they finally jump in. The funny part is that they only have a fraction of the listings, many other brokerages have also not chosen to work with them. They also conveniently don't let you see price changes, price history, and many of the other metrics that this site does.
The 'Easy is king.
To make things even more competitive, Streeteasy should also allow FSOB adverts to be posted.
prudential and elliman refuse to participate. oh and Foxtons US is now defunct.
"Yourthoughts", I totally agree. Is there a Streeteasy moderator in the house??? Why no FSBOs, guys?? You afraid of incurring some brokerwrath?
I would imagine that you can email streeteast directly and ask them...>FSBO would be great on here
I agree FSBO listings for Manhattan would be a wonderful addition.
FSBO would benefit everyone!
Perhaps the reason that FSBO aren't on StreetEasy is because the big brokerage houses would pull out.
