will strong financial mkts kill NY RE?

The financial markets are still strong, at least in Asia. And we all know the banks know how to sniff out money, except the money may be elsewhere and not here. So they are moving bankers to Asia. http://noir.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aZDoh9vyQSb8

You did notice that of all the bankers mentioned only one was moving from NY, right? The rest were from London or from one location to another within Asia-Pac. And there were at least as many references to lateral poaching (in which business cards change but heads don't) as to actual geographic moves. So killing NY RE might be a bit strong, no?

It got you to read the post didn't it? No, it won't kill NY's wall street, but it will lend to, along with lower bonusese, taking the heat off the NY market.
