Discussion about
Perhaps this is just a huge oversight in my perception, but aside from the overly-expensive Hudson River Cafe and the new(ish) addition of Cafe Largo on Broadway and 137th, are there any other decent restaurants popping up on the west side of Harlem, say 135th - 150th from Bway to St. Nicholas? I see and hear of a lot of little eateries popping up in Spanish Harlem, a neighborhood (that seems to me) to be less stable and ripe for middle income restaurants. The Hamilton Heights area has changed so much as far as new and presumably higher income residents in the last year alone...why not more places to eat? Am I way off? If not, why is this the case?
