Website shouts lack of care for the details. Two testimonials??? And horrible photos that show me nothing beyond what a high school kid in trouble couldn't do. What sort of painters wear hard hats??

I would like to add Michelangelo, Titian, and Caravaggio to that list.

Have you seen their ceilings?

BonacStyle - are you trying to bury this guy or promote him?

I guess you could look at it either way with Blankfein. Bottom line is, this guy worked in the family business for his father in the Hamptons , doing high end work for years. Now runs his own shop in NYC. Just putting out a rec - shoulda known , beware of the wolves on this forum! LOL.

If my criticisms seem unjustified I do apologize, but many well regarded tradespeople fail to realize the importance of putting forth a professional image on a website.

I was replying to the query "What sort of painters wear hard hats??"

I apologize if I caused undue confusion, and hope you can find it in your hart to forgive me.

Michelangelo, Titian, and Caravaggio -- my bad.

spin, very true, but unless they're in the web design business I usually give them a pass if they otherwise seem okay. It's a lot of work maintaining a website and many small businesses don't have the (wo)manpower to keep after it. I speak from experience managing my own small business website.

@BonacStyle-sorry for the snark. the mention of Blankfein, and the website that didn't meet my overly critical standards felt like an opportunity that I couldn't resist. also many tradespeople (contractors, real estate agents, mortgage brokers) seem to view SE as a venue to loudly shill their services without offering any useful advice and are usually heckled off the site. of course, others in the same trades are valued contributers.

FWIW, a guy did a fantastic job renovating my parents' kitchen and came highly reccomended (unfortunately not in NY), but maintains only a rudimentary website. maybe your guy is the same.
