Discussion about
I guess something went wrong during the switch to the new SE format, because ALL my saved buildings and sales have disappeared. (I pay for insider status) Did this happen to anyone else, or are your buildings still there?

Yup, I lost everything and it is kind of messing with my open house planning for the weekend. But for some reason, I am still getting the email with the information from my listings, so it must not be lost yet. Hopefully SE will carry it over soon!

Click on the "folders(new)" tab.

One of the folders, "Saved Buildings", "Saved Sales", "Saved Searches", or whatever folders you created will be displayed by default. To switch between the folders or see a list of folders, click on the folder image or the large text of the folder name. Not user friendly at all! They should always list the folders.

No, my folders are all empty. I had a bunch of buildings and sales saved, and the only thing that remains is a search - nothing else.

Back in the old days (three days ago?) we were able to save a building and then click on that building to see what apartments were for sale and for rent, and whether there were going to be any open houses coming up. I cannot find that this new system allows for that -- unless we physically enter each and every building address in the Search box. I have re-saved some of my buildings into a new folder, but that does not allow me to see what apartments are available, or open houses.

Yep, mine are all gone as well. Thanks a lot, SE. Sheesh. What a waste of time.

I sent an e-mail to Streeteasy about this...my entire past six months of apartment search is gone!! (I had saved everyone I visited and that was my main record).....Someone from IT better be on the chopping block today....Streeteasy needs to fix it and apologize or apologize and if it can't be fixed, issue some major refunds to paying customers....

Yeah, darn it, that's true. 10 bucks a month and everything just went poof. Really, really irksome. SE, I hope you're listening...

you can find them- click on the gray title heading, it is not completely intuitive, but it will bring up a dialogue box with all of your past saved searches, listings, etc.

Damn, that's some seriously backwards UX work there. Hide the folders, require a multitude of clicks to get to the info that USED to take 2? This is what you've been doing with your time? So far, every "enhancement" you've made has been a step backwards (like eliminating the Recent Activity section, limiting the ordering options on searches) but this really takes the cake. You really do need to fire whoever designed this mess, and the people that approved it.

My "Saved Items" folder has all my old searches in it, but under "buildings" it says "0", though before I had some 20 or so saved.

im a big fan of ' betas' running in parallel with older versions instead of springing several big UX changes( and failures) on paying users at the same time

The info actually is still there, but buried so far down and so poorly arranged as to be essentially useless. It's like they hired the boss's incompetent nephew to do this job and everybody was afraid to point out how crappy it is. (I work at an internet design firm, and know a few things about user experience standards.) We can bitch and moan about it, or we can vote with our wallets - I'm canceling my membership. This is simply not worth paying for.
