Discussion about
Ericho, is this a good buying opportunity for the 1500 run? How would you play this? You do know that this is not equal to your ph lic investment. You've got much more risk and leverage on your home. To you, even with the 30 yrs wait and day to day gyrations, gold is still a safer bet for you whether you realize it or not.

Pull back is widely expected. I agre with w67 that it represents a buying opportunity.

Thatz a great call from someone who's been on se for the last 2 yrs denying short sales and continuing equity bleed by nyc re 'hokeowners'. And if you're gonna say great in price, tell me when to get out.

buy silver

http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2010/11/quantitative-mining-debasing-gold/

"Its obvious from the chart below that Gold has no intrinsic value. Forget QE, the Gold Miners are doing QM Quantitative Mining. These irresponsible Miners are “printing gold” by scraping it out of the ground as fast as they can. They are debasing it as a store of value, and are no better than central bankers with their fiat currencies and printing presses."

Gold is extremely valuable as a store of wealth. Glen Beck's wealth.

Everybody else should be hoarding tulips; at least they're edible, and the bulbs are a good replacement for shallots in just about any recipe.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Down

"HOWEVER, I truly do wanna hear what ya' may have to say about SILVER . . . ."

This isn't financial advice but if you want to hear my thoughts...

We might have formed some sort of intermediate top yesterday on all assets. I won't initiate new positions at these prices. Time to lighten up. A move above 78.30 on the dollar index is not going to be good for all commodities 'short term'. In the long run, this bull is no where near done.

Trade Safe and stay away from the bears on this board."

The story today is that China may raise rates. Increasing rates makes cash more attractive..

Nostrodomus effect. Make a kazillion predictions, then hammer home the one that comes true........ Oh silly silly boiler room boy. Hey 50 foot yacht.... Seriously fast, excellent pedigree.... A racer's boat..... Picking up assets for pennies on the dollar, its so so predictable so so knowable so so profitable...... Keep shoveling that mortgage payment into the abyss.

Sugar's down, too.

RS - your sweet tooth can now be satisfied, about 22% cheaper than yesterday.

Still think long gold is good? You can eat sugar, you know...

...and crickets.

"Sugar's down, too."

Read the time i suggested it.
Sugar was trading at 25 dollar, In 3 weeks it hit 34 and 2 days ago i said 'all assets' looks like it might have topped. Time to lighten up.

Pls get back to me when you've locked in you PH 18% gain....since your PH "investment" dwarfs all your sugar, gold, dollar etc etc etc trade....

BTW, if you WERE a player, LIC would have never even been a consideration... you are a low level lackey making X, do tell about you other expensive hobbies outside of reading yahoo finance...

haven't lost a penny, ericho - haven't traded in a while. I don't trust government-sponsored bear-market rallies: no telling how long they will last, or how high they will go, just that eventually they will burst.

It is bursting.

w67 - is that addressed to me? What is a "PH"? I don't own sugar or gold, but I do stuff quarters under my pillow hoping that the tooth fairy will multiply my money. It's called the Tooth Fairy Multiplier Effect, invented by Riversider.

"BTW, if you WERE a player."

Never said i was a player and i never implied that. If being a player means being as dumb as you are, then i rather not be a player.
