I looked at 5C last year- was in same condition and sold for $1.1M
The apartment is huge, the area is nice, but quite frankly i wasnt impressed with the building itself. The lobby and halls had dirty carpets that smelled like stale smoke.

No way. Very nice, well maintained building. Lobby is immaculate. Hallways can vary a bit depending on floor, which owners decorate, but never noticed any smoky smell on any floor, and I'd walk up and down the stairway at night. I lived here a few years ago for a summer. Building was half empty, rarely saw any other residents. Gorgeous roof deck that's never used.
