Rental at 22 West 83rd Street

I saw this apartment last week. It was quite nice, but it definitely has some quirks. It is an amazing location. The apt is only two flights up. The kitchen is on a lower level and is pretty tight. I would describe this apartment as a very large loft-style studio with a sunken small office off the main room. The balcony and back view are lovely. There is a fairly small sleeping loft up a very narrow ladder-like winding staircase with half bath and usable separate entrance. Pretty much no two rooms are on the same level which makes it hard to navigate. I would also be concerned that the charming woodburning fireplace might be a must come cold days. It was an okay place, but not a fit for us.
