Discussion about
So the summer market was slow because it was the summer. The fall market was slow because of the elections. Now it's slow because of the holidays. This winter is going to be slow because it's winter. The spring doesn't look so good because....its spring. Got my popcorn. Sitting between my boys Patience and Fortitude Watching the show... Little slow for the moment When do you think we're gonna see some action?

Noah,
Your data seems to back up what I'm seeing myself. In buildings where I own properties, I've seen available listings go into contract quickly in the past 3 weeks. Also inventory levels are the lowest I've seen. These properties sat all summer........With that being said, I am seeing a little bit of sluggishness in Midtown East just like you said. Let's put it this way, it's not showing the robust activity that the rest of Manhattan is experiencing. Anybody else agreeing with Noah's data?

btw falco, never argue with the data...

falcogold, I always enjoy reading your verse. I hope that you create something for the holiday season (does not have to be real estate related).

I go to open houses nearly every Sunday and have seem limited activity at most of the open houses I have attended over the past two months. However, buyers have to buy some time and after you have looked for a while, you get a sense of what is out there and bid on the best places you find. I suspect pent up buyers like myself want to buy and eventually many of us do so in the fall or spring.
